FC Halifax Town Preview
Tamworth travel to Yorkshire this Saturday as FC Halifax Town host the Lambs at 3pm.
Andy Peaks’ side will be looking to get back to winning ways as they were defeated by Altrincham last weekend 2-1. The Lambs had previously won the last three games after some fantastic performances against Maidenhead, Braintree, and Fylde.
Dan Creaney has turned out to be somewhat of a super sub for Andy Peaks, scoring twice in two games from off the bench. His consolation goal last week wasn’t enough for Tamworth, as Altrincham held on after being the better of the two sides for most of the match.
The defeat saw Tamworth move down to 17th place, just three points below our hosts on Saturday.
Halifax currently sit in 11th place, having won four games of the twelve that they have played. They are currently coming off a two all draw against Wealdstone in the league, having also played in the National League cup in midweek, losing 2-1 to Newcastle United U21’s.
The Shaymen have struggled for goals so far this season, with centre backs Adam Senior and Adam Alimi-Adetoro having scored two goals a piece, meaning that Chris Millington’s side will be a tough team to keep out on set pieces.
We look forward to seeing so many of you make the trip up North to Halifax and look forward to the test as we hope the Lambs get back to winning ways.
