Braintree Town vs Tamworth Preview

The Lambs make the trip down to Essex this Saturday as Tamworth take on Braintree Town at 3pm.

Andy Peaks’ side will be hoping to use last weeks result to gain some momentum for them to grab another victory.

Last Saturday, Tamworth managed to defeat Maidenhead United at home by three goals to one. Nathan Tshikuna put on a man of the match performance, capturing a goal and an assist in an all-round solid display from Andy Peaks’ side, which saw them move up to 20th position and out of the relegation zone.

Braintree, on the other hand, suffered their fourth defeat this season, after losing away at Barnet 3-1.

Angelo Harrop’s side were promoted last season from the National League South via the playoffs, after finishing in 5th place.

Kyrell Lisbie has had a fantastic start to life at Braintree with three goals in the league this season. The winger joined the Iron this summer from Cray Valley and has already impressed the Braintree fans.
