We are delighted to announce the signing of Chris Wreh on a permanent deal, following two successful loan spells last season where he scored 7 goals in 18 appearances.
Chris (27), is the son of former Arsenal star Christopher Wreh and his uncle George Weah won the Ballon d'Or!
The six foot striker has developed a reputation for scoring goals, notably for Banbury United where he hit 21 goals in their Championship winning season, claiming the Southern Premier League Midlands title in 2022. His prowess captured the attention of National League outfit Southend United, before securing a move to Hartlepool United at the start of last season.
Chirs started his career in the Northampton Town Academy before moving into Non League playing for AFC Rushden and Diamonds, Newport Pagnell Town, Dunstable Town,. Stratford Town, Rushall Olympic and Banbury United.
Andy Peaks managed Chris when he was under his charge at AFC Rushden and Diamonds and speaking about the signing this week said “I am delighted to get Chris. I know all about him and he played a big part for us last season. He looked at his other options and ideally he would have liked to have stayed full time, but having enjoyed it with us last season, he has committed to Tamworth. With Chris adding National League experience in the striking department, Andy will have plenty of choices at his disposal as the season start is just a few weeks away.
Welcome on board Chris.
