Alex Fletcher won all the awards at Rushall Olympic last season, but the talented midfielder relishes his new challenge at Tamworth.

“I really enjoyed the season last year and we played some good football in my 2 years at Rushall. I also gained experience playing in the Welsh Premier at Newtown which is a good level of football.”

“Tamworth have had a lot of success over the past 2 years under Andy. There is a real winning mentality here and I relish the opportunity to be here to challenge myself. It will certainly be a good test this year! There are a lot of full time teams at this level but there is no reason why we can't go and push ourselves and cement ourselves in the league.”

“I have really enjoyed the intensity of the training sessions so far. The staff are demanding of us, they are sharp and I have really enjoyed it.”

When not at the Lamb, Alex has a day job as a football coach doing work with U18 college lads and some work at Shrewsbury Town Academy too.
