Kai Lissimore Signs On
Kai Lissimore had a taste of life at Tamworth FC back in December 2021 with a short loan spell from Kidderminster Harriers, and since then he has grown as a player for the Harriers in the National League North and then the National League last season. So why come back to Tamworth? “After Kidderminster let me go Tamworth showed an interest in me, and having had a taste of the club before, knowing how good the facilities and the fans were, having the opportunity to remain in the National League was too good an offer to turn down. I have heard how good the Manager is and the great team spirit within the squad. A few players are still here such as Dan, Jas and Callum, and I am looking forward to playing with them again. What Tamworth have achieved over the past couple of seasons is amazing and it shows what great cohesion there is in the squad.”
The 20 years old midfielder, who is based in Kingswinford, had 10 years at Wolverhampton Wanderers Academy before being released and moving to Kidderminster Harriers in July 2020. Playing full time at the Harriers, he broke into the first team and made around 50 first team appearances in the National League North and National League. How does Kai describe his positional play? “I am a box to box midfielder and I like to think I am quite a tenacious player. I like to win the ball back and on the other side of it run at defences to make things happen.”
Speaking after he had signed, Andy Peaks said “Kai really fancies the challenge back at the football club. He likes the club and is a player that will give us some good options having experienced games in the National League last season. He is a young lad, keen to learn and work hard, and he ticks a lot of boxes for us. He has a lot more experience under his belt since he was here in the back end of 2021 and he can only get better.
Welcome back Kai!
