NATIONAL LEAGUE CHANGES

The National League are bringing into line the use of substitutes with the same rules that apply in the EFL. From next season clubs will be able to name seven substitutes on the bench, an increase on the previous five, and that any substitutions can now be made during any stoppage rather than by a three stoppage rule. Five of the seven substitutes can be used during the game.

There is also a change being made to the Christmas games where teams have normally played the same club on Boxing Day and New Year's Day. Boxing Day and New Year’s Day fixtures against the same clubs will now be changed to Good Friday and Easter Monday matches. This means that Tamworth will play the same team on Boxing Day and Good Friday, and then the same team on New Year’s Day and Easter Monday.
