Some supporters have been asking if the club is announcing a retained and released list of players. The simple answer is no as all players in the squad came to the end of their contracts at the end of the season. Andy Peaks has expressed his desire to keep many of the current squad for next season, however, this depends on budget, negotiations and the players own plans for next season. Speaking this week Andy said “I have had some really good chats so far and some of the key players have already committed for next season. We are in negotiations with some of the others and also new faces I want to bring into the club. I want to the majority over the line as soon as possible and hopefully we will have news for supporters next week on some of the names committing for next season.”

Meanwhile some important news for the club is that the pitch and the ground have passed their inspections for the National League which enables us to compete at step 1 next season.

Work is going on at the ground and you may have seen on social media that Eddie Hughes (MP) arranged for H.D Ricketts to deliver a truck load of stone to help repair the potholes in the car park. We are grateful to Eddie and Adrian Ricketts for their help and support in this matter.

Training for the first team will start w/c 24 June with the first friendly booked for Saturday 6 July. We will confirm dates and opposition as soon as our opponents are happy for the games to be published. Fixtures will be played against a League 2 outfit and clubs that play at steps 2,3 and 4 of the pyramid.

We are all looking forward to the end of season awards evening this coming Saturday, so look out for the results on social media during the evening.
