20240417 - Lambs Head to Banbury United for Final Game of the Season

Banbury United v Tamworth. Saturday 20 April. KO 3.00pm

Vanarama National League North

The Lambs head to Banbury United on Saturday with both teams knowing their destinations next Season. For Tamworth the prize for promotion will be elevation to the National League. For Banbury, with relegation confirmed, they will head to step 3 football, probably back to the Southern League Premier Central after 2 seasons in the National League North.

Manager Andy Peaks, who had a new 2 years contract confirmed last weekend, will head into the game determined to add another 3 points to finish the season on 96 points, the highest total Tamworth have achieved at this level. However, we know that United will be determined to sign off with a win too.

There were no new injury concerns following last Saturday’s win over South Shields, but with Callum Cockerill-Mollett and Dempsey Arlott-John nearing full recovery, they may be ready to challenge for selection for the final game of the season.

Please note this game is ALL TICKET for Banbury and Tamworth supporters with tickets only available online. There will be no tickets available after 1.00pm on Saturday afternoon with supporters segregated.
