CHAMPIONS BACK AT THE LAMB
Tamworth v South Shields, Saturday 13 April KO 3.00pm
Vanarama National League North
Tamworth play at the Compare the Build Community Stadium for the final time this season as they welcome playoff chasing South Shields on Saturday afternoon. It will be a party atmosphere for the Lambs as it is the first time we will have played since clinching the title last Saturday in front of a record step 1 and 2 attendance on home soil. Supporters will have opporunties to have photos of the tropy and players from the squad, before and after the game. In fact, Manager AndyPpeaks has stated that he wants the ground to be like a party atmosphere to celebrate us winning promotion.
South Shields themselves have plenty to play for as they require points to qualify for the end of season play offs. They currently sit in 5th place on 71 points, but with 6 clubs realistically able to clinch the final 3 places, they have everything to play for. And, so do the Lambs! Even though the title has been won, we do not want any team to complete the double over us and with The Mariners claiming a 1 - 0 win back in November, the Lambs will be out for revenge.
TEAM NEWS Jordan Cullinane-Liburd will miss the final two games due to suspension and Ben Milnes will be out with an injury sustained last Saturday. On the positive side, Jamie WIllets returns following is injury lay off.
We are expecting another bumper crowd at the Lamb so we again advise supporters to purchase their tickets in advance and arrive early at the ground.
On Saturday we welcome Match Day Sponsors CR MOT and Match Ball Sponsors Footsteps Treatment Clinic
