Gloucester City v Tamworth. Tuesday 12 March, KO 7.45
Vanarama National League North
There is no rest for Andy Peaks and his team as they are on the road again on Tuesday. This time they travel south to Gloucestershire to face struggling Gloucester City. The Tigers had a result they will want to forget on Saturday as they lost out to Boston United 3 - 7 in front of their own fans. However, the hosts are fighting for their lives in the league and will want to put on a show to restore their pride, and there is no better time to do this as the table topping Lambs will be in town.
This will be our first visit to the Tigerturf Stadium and is certainly a shorter journey than the one we faced on Saturday where we triumphed 1 - 0 at Scarborough to maintain our 12 points advantage at the head of the table. Andy Peaks was delighted with the performance which you can listen to hear. He is under no illusion as to the challenge that City will pose “We are going there to try and win and will want to keep a clean sheet. Every game in this league is different but we will go there and give them the respect they deserve, but with a game plan to get 3 more points.”
The Lambs came through the game at Scarborough with no new injuries, however, with a lot of tired legs Andy will look at the best side he can put out to ensure we can get the result we want on Tuesday before we welcome Chester at the Compare the Build Community Stadium on Saturday.
Please niote that this game will not be streamed on National League TV
