Tamworth v Curzon Ashton, Saturday 24 February. KO 3.00pm
Vanarama National League North
It’s home comforts on Saturday as we play the first of 2 home games on successive Saturdays. This week we welcome Curzon Ashton, a team that has already given us two tough games this season. We won the league game there in September, while a few weeks later they knocked us out of the FA Cup. While the points return for the Lambs over the last 2 games has been minimal, Scunthorpe have matched our results, and the gap at the top of the table remains 12 points in the Lambs favour. For the Nash, it has not been a good week either with home defeats at the hands of Warrington Town and Peterborough Sports.
We have a 100% home record in the league against our visitors. The last encounter was a National League North game on 19 Aug 2017 which we won 4-1 with an attendance of 606. We expect a far bigger attendance on Saturday!
In addition we welcome our Match Day Sponsors to the Compare the Build Community Stadium - On the Tools and Alcon Components.
Team News
The players that started on Tuesday came through the game without any problems, but the 2 Bens - Milnes and Acquaye are likely to be out for a couple of weeks. Kai Williams may be ready for a return if he responds well in training on Thursday evening.
