20240107 - Match Preview - Warrington Town

Warrington Town FC v Tamworth.Tue 9 January, KO 7.45

Vanarama National League North

We are off to Warrington Town on Tuesday evening for this rearranged Vanarama National League North game. The Lambs hit top spot on Saturday and will be determined to maintain their position as pacesetters, following Scunthorpe United dropping 2 points at home to Boston United,

Warrington will be in no mood to let Tamworth have their own way after being on a good run of results themselves. Notable recent wins over Scarborough and Chester have seen them move up to 13th place in the table with 37 points from 26 games. On Saturday they gained a point in a 1 - 1 draw at South Shields.

Our only previous visit to Warrington Town was for an FA Trophy replay in November 2017 and it ended in a 3 - 0 defeat.

Chris Wreh has completed his loan spell and returned to Hartlepool United. We would like to thank Chris for his contribution to the club during his time with us and no doubt he will be welcome back at the club in the future. This means that there will be at least one change in the starting lineup on Tuesday evening,
