The first game of 2024 sees us welcome mid table Buxton to the Compare The Build Community Stadium. It’s a game where the Lambs will be looking for maximum points on two counts. Firstly to maintain our title challenge and secondly to avenge our 2 - 1 defeat at the hands of the Bucks in the away fixture on a foggy night in October.

Buxton are in 17th place with 30 points from 25 games played. Their Christmas fixtures saw them lose back to back games against Alfreton Town, but in their previous 2 games they had a creditable home draw against Scunthorpe United and a 3 -2 win on the road at South Shields.

The Lambs, however, go into the game in good form. Our recent record shows that we have won 7 of our last 8 games with a maximum return over Christmas. Players are now available for selection after our difficult run of injuries and manager Andy Peaks will have some tough selection choices to make going into the game.

We are looking for another good sized crowd to back the Lambs on Saturday in a game which will not be segregated, with all supporters welcome in the clubhouse.
