Warrington Town v Tamworth. Saturday 2 December. KO 3.00pm
Vanarama National League North
With Tamworth getting back to winning ways with 3 league wins on the bounce, they will be looking to make it 4 with the visit to Warrington Town on Saturday. This has all been achieved with several key players missing and Andy Peaks will be hoping to receive some good news about player availability at training this week. Missing last week were Jamie Willetts, Lindon Meikle, Dan Creaney, Ben Milnes and Callum Cokerill-Mollett and Kyle FInn - all players that would command a starting spot if fit. However, the players that have stepped up have been worthy of their places and it shows the strength in depth that Andy Peakes has developed in the squad he has assembled.
The game on Saturday pits together 2 of the promoted clubs from last season and Warrington have had a decent start to the season. Currently sitting in mid-table they have played 9 games at home, winning 3, drawing 3 and losing 3. Last Saturday they put in a good performance at Scunthorpe United and considered themselves unlucky to have lost by the only goal in the game.
Tamworth and the Yellows have faced each other before - an FA Trophy fixture that went to a replay in November 2017. After a 2 - 2 draw at the Lamb, the Yellows won the replay 3 - 0
