Tamworth head North on Saturday for a 410 miles round trip to play 7th placed Blyth Spartans. The Spartans have had a strong start at home where they have won 5 of the 6 games they have played so far. They are currently just 4 points behind the Lambs, so there is everything to play for as the Tamworth look to strengthen their place at the top of the table.

We had a good record against Spartans in our first spell in the National League (Conference) North between 2007 and 09 when we remained unbeaten (Won 2 Draw 2) together with a win in the FA Trophy at Croft Park. However the boot was definitely on the other foot in the 2017-178 season when Spartans completed the double.

The support at away games from the travelling fans has been fantastic so far this season and if you want to go on Saturday the Supporters Club will be running a coach. See their Facebook page for more information. The coach leaves at 8.00am
