Lambs Host the Quakers

Tue 3 Oct 2023 - 09:17AM

Tamworth v Darlington. Saturday 7 October

Vanarama National League North

We now look forward to getting back into league action following our Emirates FA Cup win at Coalville at the weekend.

The table topping Lambs face bottom markers Darlington at the Compare the Build Community Stadium on Saturday 7 October, kick off 3.00pm. Andy Peakes will be keen to maintain our pole position in the table and extend our undefeated run to 9 games. The segregated game for supporters will be the first home fixture in the league since we beat Peterborough Sports 3 - 0 on 9th September. Since then we have made progress in the FA Cup and picked up a point at Southport.

The Quakers have not had the start that many people expected and they recently changed their management team with the experienced Josh Gowling taking over in the hot seat. Gowling was previously manager at Hereford and was in Russell Slade’s Bulls side that lost to the Lambs in the FA Cup on penalties back in 2019. Ironically we went on to face Darlington in the next round! He has had 2 games since taking over - a 1 - 1 draw at Gloucester in the league and a 2-1 home defeat to Scarborough last Saturday in the FA Cup.

The Lambs and Darlington (and as Darlington 1833) have faced each other on 10 occasions with Tamworth winning 3 games while our visitors have won 5.

Tickets are available here https://bit.ly/3rBqiQ8 and Darlington Supporters should purchase from the ‘Away’ section as the game is segregated.

Please be aware of the 'TFC Supporters Code of Conduct' which applies to all HOME and AWAY games. It can be accessd here
