EMIRATES FA CUP 3Q ROUND
COALVILLE TOWN v TAMWORTH - SATURDAY 30 SEPTEMBER, KO 3.00PM
We are Coalville bound on Saturday for the all ticket FA Cup 3Q Round fixture. The tie draws the two teams that fought it out for the Southern League Premier Central title last season and with the Lambs pipping the Ravens on goal difference, a close battle is expected.
However, league form tends to go out of the window in cup games and no doubt the hosts will look at their recent success against Tamworth and hope to maintain their winning streak. They achieved the double last season and in competitive games Tamworth have won just 2 of the 11 games played.
Tamworth go into the game on the back of a 7 games unbeaten run and will be looking to make the 4th qualifying round for the first time since the 2014/15 season. Jamie WIlletts will miss the game following his 2 yellow cards last Saturday. Looking ahead to the game Manager Andy Peaks said; "Coalville are a very good team, especially at their place and it is going to be a very tough game. I said last year when we were in the same league that they are a good team, and I have not changed my opinion. What I will say though is that if we play to the standards we have been playing at, then we have got every chance of progressing in the competition."
