Arlott-John Signs on for the New Season

Dempsey Arlott-John is a Lamb!

We are delighted to announce the signing of Leicester based Dempsey Arlott-John, who has committed to the Lambs for the new season. Dempsey has featured in all the Lambs pre-season games and Andy Peaks was keen to get this signing over the line. “Dempsey is a great signing for us. He is strong and has electrifying pace and will give us real quality in the right wing position,”

Speaking after today's win over Barwell, Dempsey, who started his career at Leicester City said, “Yes I was there until I was 19 or 20 on a professional contract, but having left there I was keen to play in non league to enjoy my football and started at Shepshed. I then signed for Ilkeston and finished the season at Harborough Town.

So what attracted Dempsey to Tamworth? “The welcome I received from the lads, the Gaffer and the staff was fantastic. It is also a new challenge for me in a new league. But when I played against Tamworth last season for Ilkeston, I liked the way the team played. The ball gets played into Dan Creaney and he holds it up well to give the wingers a chance to get involved.

So how does he see Tamworth’s prospects this season? “I think we will do well. We have had a good pre-season and we can be ruthless when we want to be to score goals when we need to.
