Final Pre Season Test Sees Barwell in Town

Tamworth face their final pre-season test at the Lamb on Saturday when Barwell come knocking.

The teams have faced each other a number of times over the past few seasons in league encounters, with Tamworth coming out on top winning 7 out of the 8 encounters. Last time out saw the Lambs win 2 - 0 with late goals coming from Eoin McKeown and Alex Jones. For the Lambs, their pre-season has seen them win 4 of the 7 games played with the most recent being a 5 - 0 win over AFC Telford United on Tuesday evening.

Barwell had a good 22/23 season, finishing 8th, just putside the play offs.

Tamworth are certainly struggling with injuries at present with Kai Williams, Luke Fairlamb, Brad Gascoigne and Callum Reilly all ruled out on Tuesday. It may be that Andy Peaks will be looking to sign a couple of the impressive trialists to boost his depleted ranks.

The game against Barwell kicks off at 3.00pm at the Compare the Build Community Stadium and tickets can be purchased in advance here or from the ticket office before the game. There are no cash turnstiles at the ground.
