Happy Birthday Tamworth FC!

Today sees the start of the 90th Anniversary celebrations. There will be some special activities taking place and next season the club will have a commemorative badge on their National League North Shirts.

The history of the football club started with a letter sent to the Tamworth Herald on 29 April 1933. On moving from London, businessman Michael Flowers, concerned that his new home town did not have a senior football team had the following letter published in the Tamworth Herald on Saturday April 29 1933 asking for townsfolk with an interest in starting a new team to contact him at his Magnet Restaurant in Market Street, Tamworth.
