Redditch United v Tamworth, Saturday 22 April KO 3.00pm
Match Preview
To say the game at Redditch United is massive would be an understatement, but Lambs supporters will be heading down the M42 on Saturday full of hope that Tamworth can claim the league title, as long as we equal or better Coalville Town’s result against Stourbridge. We have an advantage of 2 goals in the ‘Goals Difference’ column so we have a slight advantage, but winning the game is key to any success on Saturday.
Following our excellent 3 - 0 win over Nuneaton Borough on Thursday evening manager Andy Peaks said "Yes it was brilliant and I was delighted. "We knew it would be a tough game under the circumstances that we had to play it in. "The decision to play ithe game was out of our hands so we had to be ready and go into it maintaining the standards we have set throughout the season. "After the dominant performance against Leiston on Saturday, which was a massive game against one of the title contenders, tonight we were brilliant from the 1st minute to the last."
We go into the final game at Redditch in great form on the back of 3 straight wins. "I said that I wanted to be in and around the play offs right at the start of the season. "We did hit a bit of a blip and we were poor at St Ives, but hopefully we will go to Redditch and replicate the form we are now in. "It will not be an easy game, because they have had some good results and beat Leiston a few weeks ago. "But we will go and prove how much it means to us as a group and the club and do our best to win the title."
