Tamworth v Nuneaton Borough - Club Statement

We have now been informed of the arrangements for the game against Nuneaton Borough. The game will be played BEHIND CLOSED DOORS on Thursday 20th April with a 7.45 KO.

Lambs Media will provide full live commentary of the game on Mixlr and supporters must remain away from the Lamb ground and the vicinity of the area. Unfortunatley, due to league regulations, we are not able to provide a live video stream of the game.

A programme will be issued for the game and will be available to download from the website free of charge on the evening of the fixture.

Whilst we know that Tamworth supporters will be disappointed with this decision, the club did take legal advice with a specialist sports lawyer about lodging an appeal once we were informed of the outcome by the league last Thursday. Unfortunately, due to the time constraints between the decision being made and the end of the season due on Saturday 22 April, there was not enough time to make a considered application. We have therefore reluctantly accepted the Southern League Board’s decision.
