Tamworth v AFC Rushden and Diamonds
Every game is a big game now in our challenge for honours at the end of the season. Next up is the visit of already relegated AFC Rushden and Diamonds, and a victory for the Lambs on Saturday wiil ensure that we maintain our position at the top of the league (as long as Coalville don't win by a bigger margin!). Rushden will not be an easy opposition despite their league position. They come into the game on the back of a 3 games unbeaten run and they beat Basford 2 - 0 on Tuesday evening, With the added spice that they will want to get one over their old manager - Andy Peaks, we are looking forward to another exciting game. We have already played Diamonds twice this season in league and cup fixtures at Hayden Road, and Tamworth have come out on top in both games. The last time we played Diamonds at home was last season with Andy Peaks in the away dugout. Liam Dolman scored a sensational winner on the night, - let’s hope he can do it for us this time! If Tamworth hit the back of the net just once, then it will complete 100 goals for the season in all competitions.
We welcome our match day sponsors VIP members PH Flexible Packaging, Gas Services Tamworth and Mountain Rescue England and Wales to the game on Saturday and thank them for their generous support to the club throughout the season.
Teambuilder contributors are invited into the sponsors lounge after the game as guests of TB Chairman and match sponsor Paul Horobin of PH Flexible Packaging
Tickets for the game can be purchased in advance online here, and as always you can buy a ticket at the ticket office at the ground from 1.30pm on the day of the game.
At the moment there is still no news about the outcome of the abandoned Nuneaton Borough fixture. As soon as we know, then we will inform supporters via the usual channels.
