Jamie Willets becomes a Lamb

Lambs Sign Jamie Willets from Alvechurch

Tamworth have signed highly experienced 6ft 3" defender Jamie WIllets from Alvechurch. The 30 years old school teacher has been with the ‘Church since 2016 (with a short spell away at Stourbridge) and is currently their captain, He played a major role in their successful FA Cup run this season. Before signing for the Lye Meadow club he played for Stourport Swifts and Hereford.

On his capture of the centre half he has admired for a number of years, Manager Andy Peaks said, “He is a great leader and highly respected in this league. “It is important that we are as strong as possible as we head into the final 14 games. With injuries in this area, we need players which will add competition. “Jamie brings a wealth of experience and he ticks a lot of boxes. "We have played with a consistent squad for the whole season so far, but now is a good time to freshen it up a little to hopefully get us over the line.”
