Pitching In Southern League Premier Central, Tuesday 31 Jan

Tamworth v St Ives Town, KO 7.45

Tamworth start out on a crucial set of 3 home games in a week as St Ives Town, Mickleover and Stourbridge come knocking. With the Lambs sitting 5 points clear at the top of the league, the Manager is determined to maintain the pressure on the chasing pack by going all out for a maximum 9 points following great wins against Hednesford and Basford which saw the team bag 12 goals in the process.

On Tuesday it is St Ives Town that visit the CR MOT Centre Community Stadium (KO 7.45). Speaking after the game at Basford, Andy Peaks said, “St Ives is a team I know quite well, with them being situated not too far from where I live, so I have seen them play a few times this season. I know they will provide a tough test on Tuesday and they were very unfortunate not to leave Leiston with a point on Saturday.”
