Tamworth v Hednesford Town, KO 2.00pm

Table topping Tamworth head into their game against Hednesford Town at the CR MOT Centre Community Stadium at the Lamb on Saturday in the first of what Andy Peaks has describes as ‘17 Cup Finals’.

The Lambs will welcome back Matt Curley, who will be keen to play against his former side, but the game may come too early for Liam Dolman, while Alex Jones will still be out with the injury picked up against Ilkeston Town.

Hednesford are struggling at the wrong end of the table, but they are under new management with club hero Danny Glover now installed as Player Manager. Last week they came back from 2 - 0 down to gain a creditable draw against St Ives Town with former Lambs player Steph Morley grabbing an injury time equaliser with a trademark free kick. The Pitmen will be keen to avenge the Lambs 1 - 0 win at the RACE Stadium earlier in the season. Commenting on the game Manager Andy Peaks said, “I am expecting a tough game on Saturday and I will be impressing on our squad that they must give everything to get the 3 points we need to maintain our position at the top of the league.”
