Shaquille Whittingham has signed for Evesham United, after spending almost a year at the Lamb. He was signed by Gary Smith and Tom Baillie on 14 Jan last year and forced his way into the team under Andy Peaks. Shaq initially signed dual registration terms with Halesowen Town in the Autumn having found it hard to make it into the Lambs match day squad. He has now decided to make the move to Evesham United who play in the Southern League Div One South and will maintain his dual registration terms with Halesowen Town.
Shaq will be remembered for the ‘Goal of the Season’, scored at Banbury United last April, He made 18 appearances for Tamworth as well as being an unused substitute in 4 games. Shaq scored 3 goals. Lucas Yeomans returned to the Lamb last week following his successful loan spell at Mickleover. Unfortunately, Lucas was injured playing for them in the Derbyshire Senior Cup early in December, but he is fit again and ready to challenge for his place.
Matt Curley will serve a one game suspension following his 2 yellow cards at Coalville Town. This will mean he misses the game ay Hungerford Town on Saturday.
Jack Hitchman has signed Southern League forms. The goalkeeper is a member of the Tamworth Development side and he signs for the first team to gain experience and provide cover for keelan who is on loan at Atherstone.
