Rushall Olympic v Tamworth

After the excitement of yesterday’s penalty shoot out win over higher league Boston United, we are straight back into league action on Tuesday evening at Rushall Olympic. This is one of Tamworth’s closest away games, and will be followed on Saturday with another local derby at Nuneaton Borough.

It is good to see some of the injured players returning to the squad, but this game will probably come too soon for Dan Creaney. Alex Collard limped off on Saturday and will face a late test while George Cator is still two weeks away. Ben Bailey will be available after being cup tied on Saturday for the Boston game.

Rushall have picked up their season after a slow start. We beat them 3 - 1 at the Lamb in August, but a good run of form has seen them climb the table to sit in 6th place, level on points with Redditch United. On Saturday they drew 1 - 1 at Basford United with Sam Manton on target for the Pics. Rushall are managed by former Lamb, Liam McDonald and also have ex Lambs Kristian Green and Jordaan Brown in their defence.

We hope to see a good following of Lambs fans getting behind the team on Tuesday evening.
