Needham Market v Tamworth, KO 7.45
It may not have been a win, but it wasn’t a defeat either. A great crowd of over 900 turned up and Jas SIngh kept another clean sheet. It wasn’t a great game but with Gift Mussa (1 game suspension) and Ben Milnes (injury) not available, together with losing our centre back partnership of Alex Collard and Cam Howkins in the first half, it could have been a game we would have lost in previous seasons. It meant that Tamworth have gone 10 games without defeat in league and also in all competitions and Jas Singh has kept 3 successive clean sheets.
We now move on to our two longest trips of the season, both to be played in a short space of time - Needham Market on Tuesday evening and Leiston next Saturday. Needham Market were involved in the FA Cup on Saturday and lost 2 - 0 at Burton Albion.
Gift Mussa will return after his suspension, but there will be late checks on Alex Collard and Ben Milnes, Eoin McKeown was back on the bench today and Jamie Jellis has joined for one month on loan from Kings Langley.
