Tamworth Academy Development returned to Midland Football League Reserves Division action today and completed a fine 5 - 1 win over Racing Club Warwick at the Lamb. The win saw the young Lambs move up to 3rd in the table on 12 points from 6 games. Bedworth United top the league with 6 wins out of 6 games.

The Birmingham Senior Cup game has been confirmed for Tuesday 15th November when EFL outfit Coventry City will visit the Lamb with a 7.45 KO.

The Lambs first team were without a game today but there were 7 league games being played. Leiston were the outstanding winners of the day completing a 7 - 1 demolition of Bromsgrove Sporting at the Victoria Ground. Leiston are up to 3rd in the table, 5 points behind the Lambs having played the same number of games. Rushden returned to losing ways as Redditch grabbed 2 goals to leave with all the points. Redditch move up to 4th, also on 21 points, but from 12 games played. Mickleover, who featured Lucas Yeomans starting his first game on loan in the number 2 shirt had a great 5 - 2 win at Barwell, while Andy Peaks was an interested observer at the 1 - 1 draw between Hitchin and Hednesford. Andy took the opportunity to watch our next two opponents while we had a day off. Hednesford remain rooted to the bottom of the table on 6 points from 12 played. Ilkeston travelled to Royston and pulled off a good 2 - 1 win on their travels, while Rushall’s recent run of good form came to an end with a 3 -1 defeat at home at the hands of Bedford Town. Finally Stourbridge continued their rise up the table with an excellent 4 - 0 home win over Stratford Town.

In the Emirates FA Cup, teams from our league have made progress to the 1st Round Proper. Alverchurch overcame Worksop 3 - 2 but were made to fight as the visitors grabbed 2 goals in the final 5 mins. Needham Market had a great 1 - 0 win over Maidstone, while Coalville Town caused the shock of the round as the beat National League leaders Notts County 3 - 2 at Meadow Lane. Basford went out by the only goal of the game at Solihull Moors, and also out are tIves Town, beaten at home 3 - 0 by FC Halifax Town.

Unfortunately Tamworth Women's game against Rugby Borough Women has been cancelled becasue the opposition can't field a team.
