Liversedge v Tamworth

Tamworth were today drawn to play against Liversedge FC in the 1st Round Proper of the ISUZU FA Trophy. The Yorkshire based club, situated about 8 miles NE of Huddersfield, are members of the Northern Premier League and upset the form book on Saturday with a 1 - 0 away win at FC United to reach this stage of the competition.

The club has seen a rapid rise to level 3 of the National League System (the same as Tamworth). Liversedge were promoted to the Northern Premier League East for the 2021-22 season due to having finished both the 2019–20 and 2020–21 seasons in the top three of the Northern Counties East Football League. Last season they were promoted as Champions and we look forward to visitng the 'Sedge' for a first competitive fixture. We faced Northern Premier League outfits Colne and Radcliffe in the competition last season.
