The 4 - 1 win overBarwell on Saturday saw the Lambs maintain their excellent run of victories (5 on the bounce) and move 3 points clear of Nuneaton Borough at the top of the league. Nuneaton do have a game in hand and play Bedford Town at home on Tuesday evening. Dan Creaney continued his rich vein of form with another 2 goals making it 13 for the season from 10 league games. He is in fact the 3rd highest goal scorer in the country in the top 9 leagues of football, which is a great credit to him. Thank you to everybody who supported the Lambs on Saturday. Our attendance of 591 was the highest in the league and fifth highest in Level 3 football right across the country. Thank you too to TeamBuilder who did an excellent job in raising funds and to everybody that contributed. Jas Singh celebrated his 150th appearance for the Lambs on Saturday and we send him our congratulations and thanks for his excellent service to the club.
We don’t have a game this week, and our next fixture is in the ISUZU FA Trophy away at AFC Rushden and Diamonds on Saturday (KO 3.00pm) You can get tickets in advance for the game here and you can also pay on the day using card or cash. AFC Rushden and Diamonds are trying to move to a cashless stadium and would appreciate it if fans can use card if at all possible.
The Supporters Club are taking bookings for the coach that leaves the Lamb at 11.30am. To book a place please contact Dave Brown 07971 001078 after 5.45pm any evening. Alternatively email tfcsc@mail.com or message on Facebook. The Supporters club are also running a coach to Bromsgrove Sporting next Tuesday evening and you can book a place using the above details.
Tamworth Women played their first home game yesterday (Sunday) against Lichfield City Ladies Reserves and sadly went down 3- 2. The visitors were leading 3 - 0 at the break and the valiant fightback in the second half was not enough to gain a share of the points.
