Barwell visit the Lamb on Saturday before a spell of 4 away games (3 league and 1 FA Trophy). It would be great to see a big crowd in the ground as we welcome the table topping Lambs to the pitch as we look to strengthen our position at the head of the table. With Nuneaton Borough involved in FA Cup action we have a chance to extend our lead to 3 points.
Andy Peaks knows the Barwell Manager Ian King very well, “Ian and I used to play together at Rushden and Diamonds, and we talk regularly. “They are going to arrive on a high after their win at Royston in midweek and they will know a lot about Tamworth. “It will not be an easy game but we will be ready for them.”
Speaking about players missing from the game at Mickleover Andy said “I don’t expect Ben (Milnes) to be there on Saturday, although he is making good progress. "He pulled his hamstring against Kiddy. “Eoin McKeown has a groin strain and Hursty pulled up in the warm up on Tuesday and I don't know how long he will be out for. ”Alex Jones is back following his unavailability in midweek due to work commitments."
TeamBuilder is holding a bucket collection on Saturday and we do hope that you will give your backing to this worthwhile cause.that supports Andy to build his squad. “I am really pleased with the work the team does to raise money that directly helps me with the squad. “It is great what they do, and it brings the club closer together. “The players want to help and so we are happy to play our part to support the work of TeamBuilder. “I know that it has contributed to the signing of Dan Creaney and George Cater, and it builds unity across the club. “I believe that for the success of this club work like this is paramount.” We can see that we are heading in the right direction on and off the pitch. "The players come into the bar after the games and they want to socialise with each other and the supporters. “This is going to stand us in good stead and the more we can do is ‘win-win’ for all of us. “We must have the fundamentals right across the whole club and things like TeamBuilder are very much a part of this and I want to thank them for their efforts."
TeamBuilder are holding their AGM on Thursday 17 November at 7.00pm at the gorund with special guests Andy Peaks and some players who will be interviewed. All are welcome
