Emirates FA Cup 2Q Round, Saturday 17 September (3.00pm)
Kidderminster Harriers v Tamworth
After the exciting finish on Tuesday night, which saw Tamworth move up to 2nd place in the league, we can now focus ont the FA Cup tie at Kidderminster Harriers on Saturday.
Speaking on Wednesday evening Andy Peaks said, “It was good wasn't it, a fantastic end to the game!. “It was an important 3 points to set us up nicely in the league. “The atmosphere in the changing room was fantastic afterwards.”
However, Andy knows that the Lambs face a tough task at the Harriers on Saturday. “It’s a great facility and it will be a massive challenge, but a nice game to have. “We are looking forward to it, but it will be a really tough challenge with the form they are on in their league. “They are full time, and they had their own exploits in the FA Cup last year when West Ham only narrowly beat them towards the end of the game. “However, with our position in the league it is a game we can look forward to as a club, not just the players. “It is a great test for us, and it is a nice game to have in that there will not be a lot of pressure on us, but it is a good yard stick to see where we are at the moment. “If we achieve our plans this season, I look at the likes of Peterborough Sports and Banbury who are both holding their own at that level. “We know that we are going to have to be at the top of our game to have an opportunity, but we will go there on Saturday and give it a good go.”
We have faced Harriers twice in the FA Cup and have lost both games, so we are hoping it might be tird time lucky!
