Pitching In Southern League Premier Central
Next up the Lambs travel to Bedford Town on Saturday and Andy Peaks will be looking to maintain the unbeaten start to the season. “They were promoted as Champions and I know it will be a tough game. “We had a good win on Tuesday night against a team I consider to be the best team we have played since the start of the season. “Rushall are a well organised team with some good players. “You don’t beat a team like Rushall without your team putting in a good performance - which was not the case on Saturday at Stourbridge, “So I was delighted to get the 3 points and we can now look forward to Saturday at Bedford. “I know their manager ‘Setch’ very well and he has done well in charge.”
Andy changed a few things on Tuesday night with James Hurst playing in the 10 role and Callum Cockerill Mollet starting his first game of the season at Full Back. “I wanted to freshen things up a little as I felt we lacked a physical edge at Stourbridge, which is why I brought Hursty in. “Eoin had a few knocks from the weekend which is why he started on the bench and a couple of others played with knocks. “Alex Bradley is almost ready to return but I don’t want to rush him back too soon. ”We will train on Thursday and go to Bedford with a game plan and hopefully come back with another 3 points.”
