It's back to the CRMOT Centre Community Stadium at the Lamb on Tuesday evening for a Pitching In Southern League Premier Central local derby against Rushall Olympic (KO 7.45)
Both teams will be looking to claim their first maximum of the season, although it is Tamworth that remain undefeated.
Andy Peaks was very disappointed with the Lambs performance on Saturday despite claiming a point away from home at Stourbridge, “I don’t think we were good enough from the 1st until the 90th minute. “Yes, it was a point away at Stourbridge, which is never an easy place to go, but it was not good enough. “We switched off for their goal, were hesitant and they scored. “There are no excuses for the conditions, we did not win enough first or second balls and it wasn’t until the final 15 mins when we started to create one or two chances where we could have nicked the game ourselves. “We will certainly have to play better against Rushall as the performance against Stourbridge will not win us many games.”
Rushall are managed by former Tamworth player Liam McDonald. He joined the Lambs from Kettering Town in July 2011 before moving to Redditch United the following season. Dan Creaney scored a sensational 2 goal brace in our away league encounter last season to grab all 3 points, however, it was the Pics who triumphed in a 4 - 0 win here at the end of January. In total the Lambs and Pics have played each other on 21 occasions with Tamworth winning 13 games while Rushall have won 5.
