TAMWORTH v COGENHOE UNITED

Tamworth and Cogenhoe United have never met in a competative fixture, so it will be a first visit for the 'Cooks' to the Lamb on Thursday evening. Depsite losing 3 - 1 to the Albion last time out, Manager Andy Peaks was pleased with the overall performace against the Baggies Premier league U23 outfit. "Although I was disapppointed with the goals we conceded early on, I thought we responded well and were clearly the better side in the second half. "Their third goal flattered them to be honest when Lucas slipped as we were pushing for the equaliser."

Andy was hampered with his team selection due to a high number of injuries, illness and players on holdiay for the game against Albion and he will be hoping he has an easier task with the team he chooses to put out on Thursday evening.

Cogenhoe United come into the game on the back of an excellent performance against AFC Rushden and Diamonds on Saturday. The United Counties side were unclucky to go down against Diomonds on penalties (6-5) in the Northants Senior Cup with the score 1 - 1 after 90 mins.
