Tamworth Legends v Tamworth Supporters

Team Builder Fundraisng Game - Sunday 17 July, KO 12.00

FANS of Tamworth FC will have the chance to take to the Lamb’s hallowed turf this weekend, looking to boost Andy Peaks' side ahead of their new campaign.

On Sunday 16th July, a team of fans will go up against a TFC Legends squad sporting names such as goal-scoring hero Mark Hallam, midfield maestro David Foy and former club record signing Tony Hemmings. Also rounding out the all-star XI will be the likes of Darren Grocutt, Scott Rickards and Dale Belford, as renowned off the pitch at the club as they were on it.

The game is a fundraiser in aid of Teambuilder - the fan-led initiative which raises money to supplement Tamworth’s playing budget, and every penny made on the day will be re-invested into Andy Peaks’ squad. The fund has already contributed to the re-signing of last year’s top scorer Dan Creaney, and the poaching of Hednesford winger George Cater, and are now looking to maximise their funds as the Lambs look to kick on and finally win promotion from the Southern League Premier Central Division. The event is one of a series of initiatives that Teambuilder have planned for the year, and the club are hoping that this showcase event featuring some old and famous faces will help raise funds to bring in the next group of heroes.

The game kicks off at 12:0 noon, with car parking for £1, and entrance is by donation at the ground. With the bar open, collections throughout the day, and full coverage from the likes of Mark Maybury and the Lambs Media team, fans are welcome to come down, make the most of the weather, and watch their terrace-mates take on some of their heroes of yesteryear.
