Harborough Town Visit and More

Mon 11 Jul 2022 - 1:40PM

Tamworth took on National League North Kettering Town on Saturday afternoon. Despite the hot weather the two teams served up some good football and the Lambs deserved their 1 - 0 win. Dan Creaney scored the all important goal in the second half after Kyle Finn had been pulled down when through on goal. There were good chances too for Eoin McKeown and George Cater, and when called into action there was no passing Jas Singh who pulled off one particular high class save. Attendance 302

Big Footballing Weekend coming up…

It’s a big footballing weekend at the Lamb next weekend with two games to enjoy.

First up is the visit of West Bromwich Albion on Saturday 16 July (KO 3.00pm). This will be a good test for the Lambs as they take on the Baggies who sent a team to Stratford Town on Saturday and won 3 - 1. Tickets are available now from our online site or can be purchased from the ticket office on the day of the game.

Then on Sunday it is the Lambs Legends v Supporters game on Sunday 17 July in aid of TFC Team Builder. The game kicks off at 12.00pm and then there will be interviews with some of the legends in the clubhouse after the game. The bar will be open and refreshments will be on sale throughout the afternoon and we trust it will be a great day catching up with some players who have played a part in the history of the club.

Confirmed ex players taking part in the team managed by Mark Phillips include Darren Grocutt, David Foy, Tim Steele, Darren Acton, Anthony Hemmings, Mark Hallam, Scott Rickards, Adie Smith, Adam Fletcher, Adam Chetwynd, Dave Haywood, Jose Vega, Dale Belford, Brian Gray, Rob Mutchell, Darren Grocutt, Lee Wilson and Tony Kilday.

The supporters team will be managed by a supporters legend - Andy Farrington
