The Lambs travel to Leiston on Saturday, but before that new Manager Andy Peaks and his coaching team of Neil Champelovier and Tom Chapman met the players for the first time at training on Thursday evening. Andy was full of praise for the players and the work behind the scenes at the Lamb, “It went really well last night and certainly confirmed that I had made the right decision to move here. “The people that work at the club and the infrastructure are fantastic and we had a good time with the players."

So what did Andy make of the players at his first meeting? “We had a great recpetion from them. "We sat them down and had a good chat about our expectations and they trained hard with high tempo and put in a shift. ”We have been speaking to them on the phone as well as working with them in person last night. “They are good players and have a chance to prove what they are capable of and I expect them to buy into my expectations and principles. “They know they should be doing better and I am looking forward to seeing a reaction from them.”

Andy is expecting a tough game tomorrow, “I have already been there this season and it is a difficult place to go as they are a good team at home. “However, it may be a good time to visit them as, like us, they are not in the best of form. “Football is about confidence, so we will be looking for some steps in the right direction, to get 3 points and move on from there. “There are still a lot of points to play for, but we need to hit the ground running to ensure our place in the league for next season."
