Lambs Sign former Colchester United Striker

Tamworth are delighted to announce the signing of striker Eoin McKeown from National League South outfit Braintree Town.

The 23 years old spent four years at SkyBet League Two side Colchester United following a successful trial as a teenager in 2015. A tall, pacey and agile striker, McKeown can run in behind as a number 9 or operate as a target man utilising his strong 6ft 2in frame.

McKeown scored on his debut for Colchester against Reading in 2017, and had loan spells at Wealdstone, Maldon and Tiptree, Welwyn Garden City and Kings Langley before leaving the Us in 2019.

The striker is pursuing his education in sports management at Loughborough University and was keen to sign for the Lambs to move closer to his base. He joined Braintree Town in January and scored a hattrick on his debut!

Eoin signed for the Lambs on Friday and goes straight into the squad for our visit to Stourbridge.
