20220203 - Next Up - Lambs Head to Glassboys

We head to Stourbridge on Saturday and Manager Gary Smith is determined that results must improve.

“We understand the results haven't been good enough over the past few months. "This is a work in progress, we're rebuilding the squad and we're trying to get the best out of the players. "We still have the challenges on injuries and players that are still ill. "We don't want to be making any excuses with the injuries and players being ill, but it makes it more challenging to put the same team out each week. “The results and performances that the crowds have seen recently have not been good enough. "We've had a really good training session last night in preparation for Saturday's match and will continue the preparation throughout the week. “Players that are still out injured like striker Alex Jones are still a few weeks away from being fit. "The new signing Whaib Tahra, our new striker, came on for the last ten minutes against Rushall Olympic and will be in the squad to face Stourbridge at the weekend”

The game on Saturday kicks off slightly earlier at 2.30 due to ongoing electrical work at the War Memorial Ground. The Lambs will hopefully have key players back in contention for selection. The likes of Dan Bradley (injury), James Hurst (injury) and Dan Creaney (ill) were all missing against Rushall Olympic, and also had to play for over an hour without the red carded Ben Bailey.

All supporters should purchase match tickets here prior to the game – it is cheaper to do so, as a £1 supplement is added to a Ticket purchased at the ground. Stourbridge no longer operate cash turnstiles.
