Quarter Final Cup Action on Tuesday

After the disappointment of the Coalville Town defeat, Tamworth have an opportunity to take their minds off league matters and focus on the BIrmingham Senior Cup Quarter Final on Tuesday evening (18 Jan @ 7.45). The destination is Leamington, who currently sit in 14th place in the National League North. Tamworth have reached this stage with a win at Lye Town while Leamington enjoyed a 3 - 1 home win over West Bromwich Albion

Tamworth have a number of injury concerns to deal with, none more so than Aaron Forde who pulled up in the warm up at Coalville and Alex Jones who is still struggling with his ankle. Both players, together with Ben Hart may be out for a number of weeks and wish them a speedy recovery. Ahmed Obeng and Jordaan Brown are carrying injuries, while Captain Ryan Beswick is suffering the after effects of Covid. We are delighted that Dan Bradley, James Hurst and Taylor Morrison have joined the club and apart from Dan, who is cup tied having played for Nuentaon, will be involved in the game at Leamington. Meanwhile striker Shaq McDonald has been allowed to leave the club following a 7 days approach from Mickleover. We thank Shaq for his service to the club and wish him every success at his new club. Shaq signed for the Lambs in the summer of 2020 and scored 10 goals in 24 games.
