Tom Baillie Update for the Weekend

Fri 14 Jan 2022 - 11:13PM

An upbeat Tom Baillie spoke to Lambs Media on Friday evening, and despite the loss at home to Peterborough Sports, was keen to stress that he and Gary thought they did not deserve to lose. “We were undone by two sucker punches and as a team we need to learn to adapt to these situations. “However, it is a good place to be at the moment. "You can sense the feel good factor returning in the dressing room and behind the scenes."

On the day that Bilal Yafai signed for Nuneaton Borough Tom said, “We are disappointed, but we wish Bilal all the best and he has to do what is right for him. “However, Gary and I have to do what is right for the club, not just for now but what also benefits the club for next season.

On the new signing Shaq Whittingham, Tom believes Tamworth have signed a player who should be playing at a higher level. “We hope that Shaq can get us to the level we are aiming for and also the level he should be playing at. “He is a fantastic lad and he became a Dad this week. “He has done well in training and we hope he performs well at Coalville if selected.

It may be that Tamworth have one other new face in the team at Coalville and the management are working hard to get a couple of other new players over the line early next week.
