Tamworth 2 Royston Town 0

In their pre match interview Tom Baillie wished to score the opening goal and to go on and win the game. For Gary Smith he reminisced on how a win against Royston Town kick started the Lambs season two years ago and was hoping that today would provide the same outcome,

Captain Ryan Beswick was unable to make his 100th appearance today because of Covid, and the the virus also ensured that Lucas Yeomans and Ahmed Obeng had to spend their Saturday afternoon in isolation, Alex Jones is still recovering from an ankle injury, however, our thoughts go out to Ben Hart who was forced off following a tackle in the first half and it has been confirmed that he has a double fracture in his right leg. We wish Ben all the best for a speedy recovery.

A new name on the bench today was Nicholas Kinina, a late signing from Alvechurch. Nicholas is a 20 years old midfielder, who was originally with Birmingham City and we welcome him to the Lamb.

A big thank you for the fantastic support today and don't forget the Lambs are back in action on Tuesday when Peterborough Sports are the visitors.
