Tamworth 1 Leiston 3

Whatever you call it - an ‘FA Cup Hangover’ or ‘After the Lord Mayor's Show’, this was not a good day at the office for the Lambs. Often second best, the Leiston players were far more energised for this league game and deservedly took home all three points.

Tamworth made three changes form the Notts County defeat with Mikey Taylor, Michael Tait and Chris Cox making starts.

The visitors took a 2 - 0 lead into the break and Tamworth rung the changes bringing Lucas Yeomans and Shaq McDonald into the fray. The players did step up a gear in the second half and had hope when Shaq McDonald scored with plenty of time left. However, Leiston killed the game off with a goal from the penalty spot in the 79th minute.
