Emirates FA Cup 3Q Round - Leiston 1 Tamworth 3

Two of the Southern League Premier Central in form teams went head to head in a mouth watering Emirates FA Cup 3Q Round tie today. Played out in atrocious wind a driving rain the Lambs took the game to their hosts and came back with a 3 - 1 win.

The management team had the rare privilege of naming a virtually full strength line up with Dan Creaney, Jordaan Brown and Captain Ryan Beswick all back in the starting XI. Jas Singh was celebrating his 100th appearance in a Tamworth shirt.

The Lambs had the advantage of the wind behind their backs in the first session and took a 1 - 0 lead into the break courtesy of a Dan Creaney strike from a Dexter Walters cross from the left. The hosts took advantage of the worsening conditions after half time and leveled the scoring via the boot of Adam Mills. But the Lambs took the game back to their hosts and Tyrell Waite restored the lead after a deft turn and cross from Aaran Forde. It was game over for Leiston with ten minutes remaining when Adam Mills was shown a second yellow card for a foul on Jas Singh. In the dying seconds substitute Mikey Taylor rolled the ball into an empty net having been set up by Dan Creaney.

It's another £5625 prize money for the Lambs as their ball goes into the bag for the 4Q round draw on Monday lunchtime.
