Club Statement

All at Tamworth FC were desperately sad to hear the news that our dear friend Adrian Leedham passed away at the weekend. Adrian was a much-loved member of the Tamworth FC family and provided an incredible amount of support to the club over many years, especially using his financial expertise as the club’s accountant.

Adrian served the Lambs in several capacities, including being part of the management of the club as Company Secretary and as a Director, and many of the supporters will remember how he helped in many fund raising activities. He was a regular face around the club until he set up his own accountancy business which meant he had to take more of a back seat due to time constraints. This didn’t stop him helping the club behind the scenes and he has worked very closely with the Directors in managing the clubs’ finances. Shareholders will have seen Adrian regularly bring the financial statement to the AGM every year and it will not be the same without him.

Chairman Bob Andrews speaking to the website said “Adrian was an important and much-loved member of the Tamworth FC family. He was a local man and loved his sport. You could say he was part of the furniture, and we will miss him terribly.”

Everybody that knew Adrian will remember him as an incredibly decent man who had time for everybody, and he will be sadly missed. We send our love and prayers to his family and loved ones as this sad time. RIP Adrian.

Adrian is pictured below back in 1993 with the fund-raising committee. Along with some very familiar loved faces of Tamworth FC, in the first picture Adrian can be seen on the front row third from left, and in the second picture 2nd from the right.
