20210801 - Blues Next Up At The Lamb

Tamworth take on Birmingham City at the Lamb on Tuesday evening at the CR MOT Community Stadium at the Lamb (KO 7.45) as the pre-season campaign continues. The Lambs fell to defeat against a high quality Wrexham side on Saturday, but did have some good spells in the game as the management team experimented with formations and enabled players to get minutes on the pitch as they build their fitness.

The last time the Blues visited in pre-season was back on 5 Aug 2009 when the Lambs were managed by Gary Mills. A crowd of 633 witnessed Tamworth win 3 - 1 with the goals scored by Rodman (2) and Shaw. The last competitive fixture between the two teams was played on 29 Oct 2019 in the Birmingham Senior Cup. The tie finished 1 - 1 after 90 mins but the Lambs progressed to the next round following a penalty shoot out (5-3).

With most Covid restriction now relaxed we are certain that supporters will want to remain safe in the stadium so please do not come to the game if you are feeling unwell. There are sanitisers around the ground and if inside a building you may prefer to wear a facemask unless seated at a table. All food and drink outlets have the facility to pay by card and it would help the club out if you can book your tickets online. For those who make a last minute decision to attend then there will be one cash turnstile open at the bottom end of the car park.

The good news is that our totally refurbished Clubhouse is now open and we are certain that supporters will be pleased will the new design (see separate news article). There will be food points around the ground and the VIP Lounge will open for VIPs, Sponsors and Club Officials only.

Car Parking is £2 per car
