Spectacular Drone Pictures show splendour of New Floodlights

Tamworth FCs new floodlights project is nearing completion and already the lights are attracting the admiring attention of those that have had the opportunity to see them lit up. The state of art floodlights have been funded by a grant from the Football Foundation and the generosity of some long standing supporters for which TFC are very grateful. Stunning pictures taken by local drone specialist Mark Harper of Tech-Mark Drone Solutions, show how well the ground stands out under the new lights.

The club had a number of objectives in installing the new lights, including reducing the light spill on the nearby houses and ensuring motorists no longer have to face the glare of the old floodlights when driving past the ground. Another benefit is that the dimmable LED lights will considerably reduce the club’s electricity bill.

It is such a shame that we can’t use the new lights in front of our fans on a match day yet, but hopefully it will not be too long into the new year when players and supporters can enjoy them in all their glory.

The final stage of the programme will be to dismantle the old columns and this will take place early in January and the ground will certainly start to take on a new look.
